Picking a creative path: Undergraduate program in Architecture, 2010 - 2015
My creative aptitude inspired me to enroll in an undergraduate program in Architecture at the University of Pune. Architecture helped me understand how to envision concepts and execute them in the physical world.
Focus areas: Sustainable design practices, Minimalist design philosophy, Barrier-free experiences.
The transition: From architecture to interaction design, 2015 - 2017
Towards the end of my course, I was introduced to user experience during an entrepreneurship program. I was fascinated to hear the similarities between experience and architectural design since both professions share similar skill sets - creativity and problem-solving.
After working for a year as an Architect, I craved the creative environment that I experienced only while studying the program. This pushed me towards further researching and self-studying interaction design.
A turning point: Evolving into a product owner, 2017 - 2021
My network led me to joining a design agency called Copods as their first employee. It was the work setup that I had been looking for - where I played a key role in the inception of the company. It was co-founded by 2 individuals who had 20 years of design experience working with global organizations.
With their experience came high ambition, desire for pixel perfection, and passion to be the great at our craft. This 4 year journey transformed me into a confident and a dependable professional.
